AMOS is a non-profit society representing all plumbing, gas, and mechanical safety codes officers in Alberta. Our values are integrity, reliability, and consistency.

Past President
Steve Goodwin has been in the Safety Codes industry for 6 years, he is certified in plumbing, gas and electrical. As a fairly recent convert to the regulatory team he appreciates that industry wants to get the job done as efficiently as possible and strives to encourage code compliance to be part of their daily job
President
Vice President
Adam has over 13 years of experience in the Safety Codes industry and holds certifications in Plumbing, Gas, Part 3, HVAC (All), and Fire Investigation. He currently serves as the Leader of Plumbing and Gas Inspections for The City of Calgary, a role he began in 2024.
Before joining the City, Adam spent seven years with the Town of Cochrane as a Senior Plumbing & Gas SCO and Building SCO, and five years with ATCO as a Plumbing, Gas, and Building SCO.
He brings a strong understanding of the construction and trades sectors, supported by earlier experience in both the carpentry and automotive trades prior to transitioning into plumbing and gas fitting. Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with his children and engaging in outdoor activities such as climbing, hiking, and paddling.

Kerrie Light: With over 30 years of industry experience in both plumbing and HVAC, I am excited to be part of the AMOS board and continue to have a voice for our industry and community. Looking forward to work with the new members, and the existing ones as well.
